The quality of staff of Kingman Boys and Girls Club reflects the focus on education as the essential activity here. Knowing that education opens many doors, our teachers and their assistants represent the "keys" to success for the children. The excellent level of their academic credentials meet Kingman's high standards. We pride ourselves on the variety and extent of degrees held by our employees. Among them are Bachelors of Arts in English, Elementary Education, and Secondary Education. Others have. Bachelors of Science in: Special Education, Math, Technology, Social Science, and Recreation. Several teachers have Masters of Arts in Education, Administration and Reading. Other important qualifications include teachers with CDA licenses and more than 12 years experience in Early Childhood Development.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN KINGMAN'S PROGRAMS?
Children aged 5 to 12: Through the DC Department of Health and Human Services, Kingman offers subsidized or free admission depending on a family*s income. Priority for placement goes to children whose families are TANF participants, working parents, children with disabilities, and children entering child protective service or foster care system. Fees are based on family size and income level.
Teens: Young people who want to create more opportunities for their future through employment, career awareness, and acquiring crucial life skills.
Athletes Boys and girls of all ages who want to play sports and who are working on achieving passing grades at school. Coaches. Adults who enjoy sports and want to support and teach their skills.
Tutors Adults who enjoy learning and want to pass on their skills and learning to kids.
